Due to the tight timeframe (entries close Friday 24th February) payments made on PayPal would be very much appreciated. Please let us know if you have any questions - we look forward to seeing you at this huge event !

Due to the unusual circumstances this year, the race program has been modified to accommodate paddlers wishing to compete at our nationals and state surf titles as well. In addition, veterans races will be held on Saturday and Sunday only, as will races for young juniors.

Preliminary Race Program for 2006 Energy Australia Flatwater Australian Championships

Due to the unusual circumstances this year, the race program has been modified to accommodate paddlers wishing to compete at our nationals and state surf titles as well. In addition, veterans races will be held on Saturday and Sunday only, as will races for young juniors. The preliminary race program is as follows:

Wednesday - 1000m heats and semis (all open, 16s, 18s)
Thursday - 1000m finals in morning, 500m heats in afternoon (all open, 16s, 18s)
Friday - 500m semis and finals (all open, 16s, 18s)
Saturday - 500m veterans and 10s, 12s, 14s in morning + C boats, 1000m veterans and 10s, 12s, 14s in afternoon + C boats, as well as interstate challenge and possibly some LDs
Sunday - 200m all races  (veterans included) and remaining LDs (finish early-mid afternoon planned)

Obviously the program will need to be fine tuned, based on entries received over this week - please note that entries close Friday 24th February 2006.

Boat control will be available on Tuesday afternoon, and the team leaders' meeting will also take place then. Please direct enquiries to kate.heeley@canoe.org.au - we look forward to seeing you there !!
