| Australian Sports Commission | Harassment-Free Sport Update The Harassment-free Sport Strategy is an initiative developed by the ASC to help sports organisations address harassment, discrimination and child-abuse issues. The strategy underwent an evaluation and review process in 2004 to ensure it remained an effective, practical and relevant tool that met best-practice standards and the needs of the sports industry. As a result of the review process, the ASC made several changes to various components of the strategy, including the addition of a series of information sheets, modifications to the ASC's Ethics web site and the development of new education and training packages... |
| Club Development | 11th National Conference on Volunteering Registrations for the 11th National Conference on Volunteering, hosted by Volunteering Australia between 7-10 March 2006, at the Carlton Crest Hotel, Melbourne are now open. The conference will focus specifically on themes and issues relevant to volunteer involvement in major events. | Marathon Canoe Club SA | June Canoe & Kayak Marathon ENDURANCE PADDLE - The Queens Birthday weekend every year sees South Australia’s Riverland region host the Marathon Canoe Club of SA’s Canoe & Kayak Marathon. The Canoe & Kayak marathon, the Murray 200/100/Relay, is South Australia’s premier long distance canoe marathon for all craft. Participation in the event might sound daunting and onerous but past participants will assure you there are recreational classes as well as very competitive classes available. |

Safety Guidelines
Check out the recently updated AC Safety Guidelines. These guidelines provide the minimum requirements for the safe conduct of Recreational Canoeing and Kayaking activities. All Registered Guides, Instructors and National Training Providers are required to comply with this guideline.

The Australian Canoeing Classifieds has been developed by Australian Canoeing and the State Canoeing Associations to provide an online classifieds listing service for the Australian paddling community.
You can buy and sell new and used canoes and kayaks, paddles, spray skirts, helmets and much more.  Viewing the Classifieds listed in the boatyard is free of charge.
 
Australian Canoeing members can place an ad free of charge by entering your secure user ID and password. You can even include a jpeg photo to accompany your listing.
