Years on senior team? Lots (Debuted in 1998).
When/Where/Why did you begin the sport? I began the sport at the age of 14 at the swan canoe club in WA, through one of their regular 'come and try' sessions. As soon as I was introduced to white water I was hooked.
Greatest Sporting Achievement? 7th at slalom World Championships, bronze at the freestyle worlds in same year (2005) and returning from prolonged injury problems to make these Olympics.
What are your future goals? I am focused on the C1 and C2 events in London.
What keeps you busy outside of Kayaking? Mechanical engineering, surfing and adventure sports.
Greatest Influence on Career? My team mates.
What are you looking forward to most about competing in London? The challenge.
Competitor you respect/fear most? I have a lot of respect for Tony Estanguet and Michael Martikan in C1 and the Hoschorner brothers in C2.
Who inspires you? Kelly Slater (Surfing).
If you were not a Kayaker what would you be? Climber
What scares you the most? Flat water testing.
Education/Employment? Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at University of Sydney, work for CD-adapco Australia (Australian branch of world leading provider of computational fluid dynamics and related software)
