Jessica Fox has won bronze in the K1W final on her return to Lee Valley.
The 19 year old headed into the final on the back of an impressive semifinal display which saw her qualify fastest for the final.
Fox was unable to repeat her semifinal time and had to settle for third behind Li Lu of China and Austrian star Corinna Kuhnle.
Despite a gate touch on 18, Lu won the gold in 110.64, 0.39 seconds ahead of Kuhnle with Fox 0.16 seconds further back.
Victorian Sarah Grant was equally impressive and got her World Cup campaign off to a strong start finishing eighth.
Earlier in the day Rosalyn Lawrence finished 26th in the semifinal.
