Position Vacant: National Women's Coach

Australian Canoeing is looking for an experienced world class coach to lead the national women's Team to success at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

This full time position is employed through the Australian Canoeing high performance program and will be supported by the resources and expertise of the AIS.

As the National Women’s coach you will work closely with the National Performance Director and the national network to develop a clear strategy and direction for the women’s canoe sprint program.

With a proven high level of expertise and success in all aspects of training and coaching canoe sprint athletes, you will be able to work as part of a high performance team, maximising opportunities and services to achieve optimum athlete development and performance.

In addition to coaching identified athletes or squads in Australia, you will be required to travel extensively and attend international camps and competitions as a member of the Australian Canoe Sprint Team.

The position is available from January 2013 and through to December 2016 with significant support and professional development opportunities available through the Australian Institute of Sport.

Salary and conditions will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
