A great start to Australia's assault on the 2012 Junior Olympic Hopes Regatta in Szeged Hungary.

Today saw 10 crews into the finals. The highlight of the day was the silver medal won by Madison Davies and Rebecca Mann in the17 years girls K2 1000m. In a fantastic race Rebecca and Maddie were in a line of four for most of the race with the ultimate winners Germany and the two Hungarian crews that finished 3rd and 4th. The girls are still grinning but have 3more races each over the coming two days so they are now refocusing for the 500m events tomorrow.
