Day 2 of the World Wildwater Championships saw classic teams racing which consists of a team of 3 boats in each class racing down the river.
Team members must cross the start line within 10 seconds of the first boat crossing and must all finish within 10 seconds of the first boat cutting the finish beam meaning that boats must keep quite a tight formation making it quite a spectacle in the more difficult and larger rapids on the course.
Our Australian men's K1 team of Stewart Bennett, Matt Dalziel and Matt French were the only Australian's in action today and finished a credible 7th in the field of 16 starters. The race was eventually won by the French, closely followed by the Czech Republic and Germany taking out 3rd place.
