Wednesday the 27th June saw Aussie paddlers in action in women's C1 and Men's K1.

 Ros Lawrence in the women's C1 classic race finished 5th in the field of 7 and afterwords said it was a tough demanding course in which she had to roll twice. The ultimate winner was Julie Paoletti from France in a time of 16:49.82.

The men's K1 classic saw a large field of 73 competitors with the 4 Aussie males finishing close together. Stewart Bennett was the best of the Australian's in 26th, followed by Matt Dalziel in 27th, Matt French in 28th and Rob McIntyre in 34th. The winner Tobias Bong from Germany set a cracking time of 13:30.25 being a course best at this water level over the last 5 years and narrowly defeated the french favourite Remi Pete by 0.73 of a second with Nejc Zindarcic from Slovenia taking the bronze medal.
