Release of the ASC Report

Today sees the publication of the ASC's Review of the Delivery of the Sport of Canoeing in Australia.  This comprehensive review follows a several month period of interviews, questionnaires and correspondence with a wide variety of interested people all around Australia. The report can be downloaded in full below (3Mb - 150 pages including appendices).

We would like to clearly indicate that the Interim Board believes the model set out in the report is in the best interests of the sport.  It has been reviewed by the ASC chaired steering committee, and the AC Interim Board, who approved its publication in this form.  It is intended that over the next few weeks a consultation period will be held, with meetings in each State to discuss the findings and the recommendations.

Times and venues for meetings in each state will be circulated shortly, and people are welcome to either submit their comments in writing, and/or attend the meetings to discuss their views personally.

We look forward to an active discussion of the Report, which, as noted above, the Interim Board believes to be in the interests of the sport

Yours faithfully

Jim, Justin and Peter
AC Interim Board
