West Lakes, the 2011 National Championships venue will host this weekend's South Australian State Championships with 2011 ICF Athlete of the Month winner Hannah Davis, 200m sprint specialist
Matt Goble and senior paddler Luke Morrison set to dominate proceedings.
Racing will kick off on the Saturday and SASI Head Coach Nathan Luce been pleased with the senior athletes work ethic in training, with the Olympic qualifiers less than a month away.
“We're now in the final stages of preparation with not long till Oceania’s and the Nationals.”
“We're currently in the middle of a hard training schedule at the moment and some of the boys are a little sore, but I’m confident will be able to get up in time for racing this weekend.”
One of the highlights of the weekend in set to be the battle of SASI Star Hannah Davis and QAS veteran Rachel Lovell who have recently concluded a training camp in Sydney.
The presence of Davis and Lovell will be great for likes of Maddison Davies and Josephine Bulmer who have been showing positive signs this year as emerging stars in the sport.
“Maddy won the U16s at GP2 and Josephine finished third, we’ve have got big wraps on both girls.”
