Fenn Cup Update

Una McKay, Tuesday, 22 September 2009

The Fenn Cup is growing in stature and is set to become one of the most lucrative paddling events on the calendar. As the worlds first ever all downwind series the events are set to bring out some of the best in pure ocean races.

Event organizers have been working hard to secure a first class prize pool across all the categories with an all-star line up making a commitment to the series.

The likes of Jeremy Cotter, Tim jacobs, Caine Eckstein, Murray Stewart, Reece Baker, Kurt  (the man who blocks the sun) Tutt, Naomi Flood and Kirsty Holmes will be joined by former champs Grant Kenny and Guy Leech along with OP newcomers Haley Bateup, Jasmin Kelly,  Zane Holmes and Shannon Eckstein.

Along with the paddling superstars some of then countries top media personalities will be taking part. Among them winner of Dancing with the Stars Tom Williams and the man voted Australia’s sexiest lifesaver Brad Gaul.

Gaul will be doing more than attracting the female contingent to races, he has jumped on as a major partner of the event and is hoping to win back some of the bucks he has thrown into the event.
