Statement from Australian Canoeing
Australian Canoeing, Thursday, 13 October 2005 Nathan Baggaley returns adverse analytical finding
Australian Canoeing has been advised that Nathan Baggaley, who was scheduled to compete in the 2005 ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships, has returned an adverse analytical finding from an A-sample analysis to stanozolol and methandienone.
The sample was collected at an out-of-competition test, conducted by ASDA for Surf Life Saving Australia on 13th September 2005.
At this stage this does not mean that an anti-doping rule violation has occurred. Australian Canoeing is working with the Australian Sports Drug Agency, Australian Sports Commission and Surf Life Saving Australia in relation to the result management process for this matter. Further information on the results management process is available from the Australian Sports Drug Agency website at www.asda.org.au.
