Mountain Creek – off Mooloolah river upstream of the Sunshine Motorway bridges and into the residential developed area – interesting paddle.     

 

How to get there

 

Charles Clarke Park in Mooloolaba on River Esplanade. Toilets are available.

 

What to expect – water conditions, etc

 

The river is tidal and upstream of the Sunshine Motorway bridges the water is generally calm – not many landings available and suitable for most crafts. Downstream of the bridges the water can be choppy in certain weather conditions.

 

Distance/Time to allow

 

You can tailor your paddles to the time that you have available. You can organise interesting paddles of 2 to 4 hours in duration.

 

Camping facilities, accommodation, etc

 

There are a range of camping and accommodation choices available in the Sunshine Coast area.

 

Other attractions in the area

 

Fishing. Surf. A number of other creeks and rivers. National Parks and natural environments. Cruises and other attractions.
