The BCU 4 Star Placid Water Kayak Qualification is equivalent to the Australian Canoeing Flatwater Skills Award (Kayak)
The BCU 4 Star Placid Water Canoe Qualification is equivalent to the Australian Canoeing Flatwater Skills Award (Canoe)
The BCU Open Canoe 3 Star Qualification is equivalent to the Australian Canoeing Flatwater Skills Award (Canoe).
The BCU 4 Star Sea Kayak Qualification is equivalent to the Australian Canoeing Sea Skills Award
The BCU 5 Star Sea Kayak Qualification with a logged sea journey of at least 7 days duration is equivalent to the Australian Canoeing Advanced Sea Skills Award
The BCU 4 Star Closed Cockpit Kayak Qualification is equivalent to the Australian Canoeing Whitewater Skills Award (Kayak)
The BCU Open Canoe 4 Star Qualification is equivalent to the Australian Canoeing Whitewater Skills Award (Canoe).
The BCU Open Canoe 5 Star Qualification is equivalent to the Australian Canoeing Whitewater Guide Award (Canoe) - subject to the notes on guides above.
The BCU 5 Star Whitewater Kayak Qualification is equivalent to the Australian Canoeing Advanced Whitewater Guide Award (Kayak) - subject to the notes on guides above.
Note All BCU Coaching Awards (Instructor) are context specific. For example a holder of an Open Canoe 4 Star Award with a Level 3 Coach - Sea is not qualified as an instructor in the open canoe.
BCU level 2 coach is equivalent to the Australian Canoeing Level 1 Instructor - subject to the notes on Instructors above.
BCU level 4 coach is equivalent to the Australian Canoeing Level 2 Instructor - subject to the notes on Instructors above.
