Company Accreditation

Australian Canoeing (AC) is committed to developing participation in canoeing throughout Australia. It aims to provide the community increased access to canoeing by developing and implementing programs that encourage and promote participation.

AC Paddling Industry Company Accreditation is the only company accreditation that ensures quality, safety and expertise in the paddling industry through the National peak body for canoeing with its extensive resources including;

National Education and Safety technical Committee
Input from elite teams in white and flatwater which include specialist input from sports medicine experts, biomechanists, physiotherapists and other technique and injury prevention experts
Monthly updating brief
Regular national professional development program

Australian Canoeing is the authority recognised by the Federal Government through the Australian Sports Commission as the National Organisation for Canoeing and Kayaking. Only AC accreditation ensures the total quality of a paddling organisation.

Australian Canoeing seeks to form Company Accreditation alliances with other established organisations for the promotion of safe paddling practices coupled with the delivery of nationally recognised education.

AC offers two levels of Company Accreditation:
1.AC Company Accreditation
This level of accreditation is for organisations who:
guide clients on paddling-based programs
retail paddling equipment
hire paddling equipment.

2.Accreditation as a National Training Provider (NTP)
This level of accreditation is for organisations wanting to deliver training in any of the AC Award Scheme qualifications to its clients.
